Term Description
Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) The contract between the company and the union. It covers your pay, benefits, and how work is done.
Negotiations/Bargaining The process where the company and union meet to discuss and agree on a new contract.
Offer (or Proposal) A set of terms put forward by either the company or the union during negotiations.
Tentative Agreement (TA) A preliminary deal reached by both sides. It’s not final until union members vote to ratify it.
